I can confirm this. This happens to you because apparently the system didn't create the web profile for your account upon signup. This has been going on for a while and it affects a lot of new accounts, but not all for some reason. It is really weird especially since it was reported here before that the Lab still didn't get on it.

Maestro Linden can you or a colleague of yours please tell us something about this bug and when we might be able to create new accounts without the risk of not having a web profile?
