'Black spot' Artefact at one sim with high or ultra quality

Set Draw Distance to high, cam about pointing at the sky about 45 degrees from horizontal. A large blackeded spot will appear.
The same spot appears in Firestorm versions probably since start of PBR. It my be a MAc problem, others do not see it

One thing i didn't mention , is that the black spot moves as I rotate the camera. I don't see how that follows from your explanation (as far as I understand it).

There is a megaprim sphere over that region that has a texture of stars and night sky. The Black spot is an area of the megaprim that is not rendering, and looks like it's beyond the Far Clip. But even setting the Debug Setting -> RenderFarClip much higher, the black spot remains.
