Font looks scrambled before the real font appears

When a friend comes online, I first see their name as gibberish, then in a split second it changes into a readable name.
The same happens when I am working on an outfit (see attached files). First the unsaved outfit name appears to be Goa'uld language... lol... then it becomes readable.
[The same happens in my home compiled Alchemy viewer for Linux, but this LL-viewer was downloaded from github as is.]

I've been experiencing the same problem with the latest Linux builds of the standard viewer for several months.
The issue looks very similar to the one previously described on GitHub:
In my case, it goes to the point where not only did the text start looking distorted, but the entire rendering became corrupted at the same time aswell.
I havenāt found a reliable way to reproduce the problem. It can happen even with the graphics settings set to their lowest values, in an area that appears to be empty.

Wow, that looks fancy! Maybe it's worth a "I like how it looks. Won't fix." tag from

Haha, I used to see this when I was using the viewer on Linux too. On my machine it looked more like Ancient than Goa'uld though.
