The Mac Media Volume Slider is Broken in SL and Firestorm Viewers.
It does not work at all when you slide it.
The Media volume is at 100# when It comes on and no way to turn it down. It takes 20 seconds for it to stop once you turn the media off.

I can reproduce issues with Second Life version 7.1.8.9375512768 on MacOS Sonoma Version 14.6 (23G80). However, the slider is not completely broken. For me it does work fine for inworld sounds, ambient and button sounds.
It failes for streaming music and media (not attached to avatars). I was first unable to turn streaming music and media off, after clicking around and choosing different combinations (on/off) I can not turn it on again. I have cross-checked with Firestorm version 7.1.9.74745 wich propably is based on the Secondlife Viewer for MacOS: same issues.
I can not reproduce this issue on the windows versions of the viewers.

Update for Second Life Release 7.1.9.9981869229 (64bit) Atlassaurus MacOS
EDIT: After the second start the new viewer was able to play the parcel music url and media on parcel and the volume slider was able to control the music, media and all other sound volumes.
