When you hide ui even with all the beams and such off anyone right clicks or clicks on things will add circles only in pbr viewer. Only go away when show ui or remove particles.(when filming in sl like wrestling and so on this results in visual issues with seeing the circles everywhere.)

I just installed Firestorm 7.1.11 which was just released. This issue now is fixed for me. No more swirling white particles when turning off interface using Alt-F1. Thank you so much!!

yes when filming, especially a live event, this is very annoying and the only solution is to turn off all particles but we may otherwise need particles on

Finally, someone else has reported this issue. I reported it on December 26, 2023, and it was acknowledged as a bug ([BUG-234894] Persistent particles swirling effect starts every time any object is right-clicked when User Interface is hidden using Ctrl-Alt-F1 #11731), but it has never been fixed despite 9 months having passed.
