Requires AMD GPU, Adrenalin 25.10.2 or later.
See attachment for a visual of the issue. Toggling AO makes no difference. Please note that there is a risk of this issue being prevalent for many months to come if Linden does not exert pressure on AMD to work together on a solution to this rendering issue. I'm speaking from experience with other software.
The workaround is to revert back to 25.9.1 driver.

Edit: 26.7.1 driver shows significant improvement. I've got flickering when using certain material shines, but not all of them, and it only happened in squish mods. None directly on body and mesh head for now.

AMD has released a driver that brings FSR4 to older gen cards. We really need this fixing asap, as a gamer that needs the latest GPU drivers this really really sucks!

What can be tried:
Use DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) to get rid of everything your graphics driver got on your system. Just to be sure you start entirely from scratch (because some reported to have no issues with the newest driver version). Reinstall newest driver version after you ran DDU. See if issue persists. If so, go back to the last stable version without the issue (i think 25.10.1). See if every game you play runs well. If so, stay on that version till a final fix arrives.
Newest drivers are mostly only needed if following points meet YOUR needs:
-You NEED a feature that specific driver introduces (New FSR routines etc.)
-A game won't run no matter what with an older driver version (quite rare)
-A game got WAY worse performance with the old version (kinda rare too)
-Well... you got issues with said driver version... or the driver has other severe bugs.
This is not meant as an excuse for AMD or a solution. But a workaround till a fix arrives (hopefully). We also have to be real as well. Sorry to be that person. OpenGL isn't a big part these days and it only seems to affect the Windows version. So the priority may be kinda low to fix it and need quite some time because of other higher priorities on their list.
I myself got a 9070XT and a 4080Super in two systems. Both run well and fine. Both weren't updated for months now in terms of their drivers.
Btw. nvidia got their own stack of severe issues. From fans not spinning up on load to several reasons of crashes (wrong GPU clockspeeds and so on).
So right now for MODERN games nvidia got more critical issues than AMD, funnily enough. Weird if you consider the past.

Big Blep It only stops being a workaround if the driver doesn't work for someone anymore because they need(or want) certain features only a new version provides, a major bug prevents something to work for them in the specifically used driver version, or a game that they want to play recently released will suffer significant performance losses or recommend a certain version to run (Space Marine 2 was prone to do that for example).
So in these cases, sure. New drivers are needed, otherwise they won't get what they want.
Everything else, when it runs just fine? No, it's not a <need> to do so when above points don't apply to someone.
It's always a question if a person has the need to do so. If everything works just fine today, it will tomorrow. Except changes listed above occur for whatever reason.
For example: I don't let my graphics drivers autoupdate and i circumvented issues with fans not spinning up under load for my card because said driver version had major issues and had for a long time (the fan bug was fixed quite fast though, but still that issue was not just a small thing).
I don't play games who need the newest version, all games i play rn work just fine. And SL got no issues as well. So why should i update the driver then? I only would get flickering textures in SL. For me personally there is no issue still using an older version and not to update for now, when i don't see the need.
This may change from person to person of course for the mentioned reasons.
Note: This is NOT an excuse for AMD to not fix this issue. I'm not a shill for them or want to defend this garbage.
But it seems unfortunately obvious that OpenGL doesn't get a lot of high priority attention from them and it may be a bit longer till we see a final fix that works for everyone. Hopefully sooner than later.

Feuerblau Resident I'm saying the driver is obsolete and you cannot reasonably be expected to run that driver so your product works fine. You can live with the defect or run deprecated legacy drivers; it's a regression either way. It's a valid reason to claim warranty on your product.

Hey, a few days ago I bought a 9060XT 16GB with SL in mind. Unfortunately, the latest drivers are causing errors. Iām a bit annoyed with AMDās performance. I have to use the old drivers, which arenāt compatible with my video editing software. When will the situation improve? Is there any news? The more I read, the more I realise this situation has been going on for several months now. Iām starting to regret buying the 9060XT; I might return this card and buy an NVIDIA one instead.

Try the following:
Get DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller) and use it to deinstall your graphics driver entirely.
It gets rid of everything the driver puts on your system, to be sure that nothing from older driver versions resides and may conflict somehow.
Then try to reinstall/install the newest version again from scratch.
See if the issue persists. Some people stated that the newest version fixed the issue for them. So it may be that something from older driver versions may lead to conflicting issues with newer driver versions. (Happend in the past on both sides, nvidia and AMD. None of them is better than the other, see my post above).
What Video software do you use, that it isn't compatible with Adrenalin 25.10.1?
That is a bit odd. For example, from what i know is that Adobe Premiere ties it to hardware requirements instead of specific driver versions (4GB lowest limit etc.).
So there may be a solution to that for you, if you can state your used software.

we need to keep reporting to AMD , I have done so on reddit and bug reports. also if someone is able to share this all as well to them. as a gamer with such a behind driver this really is way to long

I bought a new graphics card expecting it to work 100% correctly, not to spend hours trying to find a driver that actually works. Iāll wait a few days and then swap it back for an NVIDIA one. I can see this situation has been going on for several months, but Iāve only had my card for a few days.

Barbara Snowbear unfortunately not all of us that have spent thousands on a gaming laptop have the option of a card swap. This AMD issue needs to be fixed. Like what changed between the last driver that works, to ones there after, surety someone knows.
