A better way to hear media prims on SL.
Armando Xofan
So, is been years that i tried to fix the issue of not hearing sounds from media prims in general, sooo, i can only tell that SL needs a better way to hear media prims in general and stuff, so, yea, hope you guys can work or use a better system to hear media prims, perhaps use HTLM5 ?_? in case you use it, then you should put a better system that works 100% then. (if SL uses HTLM5) also sorry for the off-topic for what i'm going to say next but: you might get inspiration from this Garry's Mod Add-on called "Media Player" by Sam https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=546392647&searchtext=media+player , i have this Add-on and works very good^^ (yes, i hear sounds and video there.)

Armando Xofan If you're having trouble with media volume,
- The official viewer has a fairly limited set of options ( https://i.imgur.com/h5wc2zM.jpeg ) but make sure the media andoverall volume sliders are high. You can happily leave overall volume maxed if you just set the other things individually.
- The web content being displayed will (hopefully) also have its own volume controls for the element playing video or audio.
- There are also of course your OS's volume options. In windows 11 there is the volume mixer ( https://i.imgur.com/kKskRBV.jpeg ), which can see, set, and rememberthe volume for dullahan (see the end) processes.
- Just for completeness, third party viewers sometimes provide some extra options. In this image of Firestorm's media tab ( https://i.imgur.com/tXvXu6E.jpeg ) you have falloff ranges, which set the distances from the client ear at which media starts to become quieter and then silent. This is relatively far by default but might still help. You could also try toggling the client ear location with hear media and sounds from camera/avatar position (as the image in the first point shows). Some people find avatar preferable since they can move their camera without volume and stereo positions changing.

Regarding html 5, media is backed by Dullahan ( https://bitbucket.org/lindenlab/dullahan ) which is a wrapper around CEF for Second Life to talk to, so what handles web content for you is basically Chrome. The developer of the mod you linked says that because of technology deprecations, gmod is moving to CEF to back its web content - so you might have similar things to consider there in future.
