Add 3DConnexion Drivers for SpaceNavigator

Korach Resident
Incorporate functionality of SpaceNavigator and other 3DConnexion controllers using their drivers.
Currently SpaceNavigator does not function normally in LL Viewer.
It DOES work Firestorm Viewer but requires the 3DConnexion drivers to be unloaded.
Of course, most of us who use these controllers also use them outside of SL and require drivers to be installed and operative, for our CAD and 3D creation software.
Currently, with the LL viewer and 3DConnexion drivers unloaded, the device is recognized but does not work fully.
Flycam works normally, and there is some general functionality, but for general movement (non flycam), walking, turning, vehicles, etc. the camera zoom distances consistently jump around making it unusable. Particularly when rotating, at which time the cam will zoom in and out depending on direction. And again, there is no functionality when 3DConnexion drivers are loaded on the machine.
Request:
Plan A - work with Firestorm to find out what they did differently that allows the devices to function more-or-less normally in their viewer, though this still involves keeping the drivers uninstalled elsewhere on our systems.
Plan B - work with 3DConnexion to obtain and incorporate appropriate drivers so devices function within the viewer when drivers are installed elsewhere on our systems.
Edit: my experience refers to Mac. Equal issue Intel or Apple silicon.

this is supposedly being tracked https://feedback.secondlife.com/bug-reports/p/space-navigator-does-not-work-correctly-any-more-under-multiple-versions-of-maco
and I'm far from the first to complain about the issue
It is extremely irksome that this issue hasn't been resolved by now

Bavid Dailey Yes I can confirm this has been ongoing at least since 2021. Back then I had a conversation with a tech at 3DConnexon, who, at that time, said they had not been in communication with LL since 2016 and confirmed that LL was not using their drivers. There was a Jira post at that time that had info about some details of "why" but regardless, time has gone by and we've seen no more motion here. Thought I'd give it a bump.
