so that those problems be treated in priority as it leads to avatars being robbed their ID/psw and it then makes problems be even bigger when such campaigns are correctly managed.
Example today on a well-known creator group (I replaced the fake MP store link by XXX):
[09:30] Scorpiuta Resident: 💯💥FREE SUITS CHIC 💥💯💯❤️🔥❤️🔥
For Free💢💯💥💥 for the first fifty people. Significant discounts on our new product
The quantity is very limited. 50%💯💥💢 off for the rest Welcome to our store XXX
... which means that the original 9 y/o avatar has been robbed its ID/psw too, with payment set as used and i prefer not to know how much L$ are going to disappear that way too.
PS: One hour before a reply from LL is received saying that they are soon going to review / consider the phishing ticket means that during more than 1 hour the guys have collected victims with identity theft ... with even more accounts that they will be able to use for identity theft, leading to never ending problems.

Suggest everyone add "2 step verification" to their SL account information so even if they get the password, they need the 2nd part to actually login in.

Wholeheartedly agree with this! We should be able to flag these for what they are.
Observation Arcana
Def needs to be added, with assurance that it's a "user may have lost their account" mark where LL can try to email-contact and work with the user to both return the account and trail back to where it started, or something helpful. If the stolen account is banned, sure it can't harm others through that account anymore, but then that person can't or will have further issues recovering it.
Perhaps LL should consider a list of known scam URLs and auto-block them from being posted at all? Obvious ones like links to the m4rketpl4ce or whatever should be easy, as well as the phishing report can help them add new ones to the list. The URL could have spaces added or a redirect link instead, yeah, but people would hopefully be less likely to open it that way.

It's about time the phishing/scamming category is added, there are too many scammers and phishers out there and too many people are falling victim to them.

Its kind of sad that our only recourse at the moment is to mark it as "Spam." It is far from that low on the list of offences. This is a serious issue that should have been dealt with long ago.
Just yesterday a scammer hit 17 groups in a row, followed by several other scammers during the day.
This has to be dealt with as some users dont know its a scam and fall victim to it.

I thought a lot about this too, and would add only that the "scam" category should be given some priority over the current ones (including the 'fraud' one which is the categ we use to report it now) because this delay into blocking a scamming/stolen account helps spread the 'social infection'.
We also know that once the spam starts, all L$ are gone and CCs charged, but triggering some financial crimes response (track the L$ destination, real world dolar conversion on burner account, bank account used) could help too, specially because the endpoint (the one used to withdraw real money) invariably has to have KYC policies in place. Fast action and reporting is paramount to law enforcement agencies.

Hello, and thank you for your feature request regarding adding a 'phishing/scamming' category to the report abuse tool. This is indeed an important issue, and another resident has previously brought up a similar concern. We are merging your comments with the existing request to help expedite the review process. While we cannot provide an estimate on when this might be implemented, please keep an eye on future updates. Your input is invaluable in helping us improve Second Life, and we appreciate your dedication to making our community safer. Thank you for your continued support and for sharing your ideas!

SL Feedback Thx. as far as i saw, after i mentioned it on the Firestorm group (that immediately made an alert notice), another avatar got used with the same message ... certainly one more whose identity got robbed in the meantime .. I also discussed with a user from another group who thanked me as she would have otherwise been trapped ... the page in link is a classical copy / paste of the same design as the MP store logging page ... no way to make the difference for users not used to such an ID/psw theft scheme ...
