The SL Community Forums have several long‑running, fun and social threads that stay active year‑round. They’re part of the forum’s culture, but because there are now so many of them being bumped up quite frequently, new threads and questions lose visibility very quickly.

A dedicated category, something like "Community Lounge," would give these ongoing threads a proper home without disrupting them. It might also make "General Discussion" more usable for new conversations and new users by giving them a bit more room to stay visible on the front page.

This isn’t about restricting or removing anything. It’s a small structural change that improves navigation and helps both the popular long‑term threads and new posts coexist more cleanly.
