Uggo Vieria That does look very useful and it's something I'd never seen before! It is really close to what the OP suggested, I suppose. For the thing I mentioned, I'm not sure. What I would like - and as I understood Mairi too - would be another column in the permissions table, "show notifications", and so when each friend whose notifications are currently disabled logs in or out, or sends an IM or item or teleport offer/request, it would come in silently, no ringing, no toast notification, no local chat / console notification, BUT of course the message would show in the conversations window, as well as the chiclet.

So this wouldn't behave like "unavailable" mode, where you don't even receive the messages. Discord has a "mute" option, which means if you mute someone, you will still see their new messages if you open the conversation, but it doesn't send notifications of new messages. It is very useful when we need some "me time" or need to focus on something important, but we don't want to cut off communications. We just need to stop that one lovely but currently annoying friend's new message notifications for a few hours. I think that is what we need here.
