Attachment Points assigned at UPLOAD by creator

This was a jira in the past...and still now many more years in it is still needed. The default attachment point of right hand is still not assigned by many creators to a more obvious location, some that are so new that they may not even be aware they could do otherwise, leaving it up to the end user to reassign. If there was a checkbox or drop down available in the upload window, then this would give the creator the opportunity to just select the attachment point that better works with the product.
We still see people losing an upper object when trying to wear a lower object because not all people use add and not everyone assumes that they will be to the same point.
I made a mock up and there is enough room for something of this nature in the upload window as it is currently.

How lazt and amazingly entitled people are.

For mesh creators, this would be helpful, yes.
But, not all mesh is for clothing. So, in addition to an attachment point location, you'd also need a radio button for "worn attachment" so that objects meant to be rezzed inworld don't get tagged as wearables.
Unfortunately, a lot of designers are not uploading their own meshes. Instead they use existing mesh assets that they've acquired, and then set them up with some kind of textures. So this kind of tool wouldn't change their behavior at all.

Beatrice Voxel it would definitely be a check if it is an attachment option, radial button or otherwise, the option would be helpful. Someone had to upload the mesh even if sold on, so the person that is selling it to others once they do that step it would be hardcoded in for the person buying it.

This wont be solved via upload window. I suggest better to display for each relevant item in inventory, after its name, the attachment point the item has

Nescolet Resident with the RLV viewers, if you do type in the attachment point it will only attach there, which means if no mod, you cannot change it, and some people move things around

Hello, and thank you for your feature request regarding the ability to assign attachment points at upload by the creator. This is indeed a valuable suggestion that has been brought up before. We found a similar request in Second Life's previous bug tracking system (BUG-234177), and we will be setting this issue to tracked. While we cannot provide an estimate on when this feature might be implemented, please keep an eye on future updates. We appreciate your input and hope you continue to share your ideas to help improve Second Life. Thank you!
