could we have the ability to bake shadows on prims inworld (with and without a texture added to the prim), so our inworld builds look more like a mesh program made it? i am so obessed with building in sl but also would love that our prim builds have shadows. maybe a dark shadow ( for light textures ) and a light shadow (for dark textures).

Oh and I thought this was about baking cookies or pizza. As for shadows, if you have shadows enabled fully in your viewer (sun+moon+projectors), as well as ambient occlusion, you will see shadows and shading on everything depending on the current lighting and the materials used on the objects.

i.e. the corners of my buildings would look much better with a baked shadow. corners pointed outwards and corners pointed inward, thank you!

RinzlerKitty Resident I recommend placing a reflection prob in the room of the house you intend the shadows to be in. Have it go just SLIGHTLY through the inside walls, and slightly into the ceiling and floor. Set the Ambience to 1 in the Features tab when doing this. The unlit areas will have fairly deep shadows. Careful use of invisible lights can enhance this. I encourage you to play around with this feature, as well as watch some videos about Reflection Probes on YouTube. Once grasped, they can make your builds look amazing.
