When communicating with each other, often a request of the type of communication is only possible to share via Profile...such as please send notecard, or please contact (other account) and so on. Auto response if ONLINE make it possible to share that desire, but when offline it is not clear.
The top of our IM box should have a designated section where we can input those desires so that when any IM is opened, whether online or offline that information is there for all to see.
Thus making sure that everyone is very clear on how the receiver wishes to be communicated with.
It could also include links to FAQ info, websites, the url of another account and so on.
thank you :)

This is absolutely needed for any buisness owner on the platform.
We all have specific "picks" in our profiles that explicitly express the proper channels to communicate with the buisness owner are. Most residents do not read them. We now are left with putting it at the top of our Second Life profile, where yet again - residents do not read this.
I am often switching between viewers for different types of work, and even the mobile viewer sometimes, and while it was said that LL is working on a cloud message storage - this is still not the solution for me.
I prefer all my CSR to be communicated through my discord server using APIs webhooks and in-world systems, I have several ways for people to get in touch with me, even if they do not have discord themselves (a mainstore system that allows the user to click and drop a message that feeds into a CSR channel for only myself/discord group chat bots ETC). This keeps me organized and properly taking care of customer and resident needs as they come in, since they are organized and in order. A stand alone text message in Second Life does not have the robust features I need for my buisness anymore, so Discord is the place for me.
TLDR: I do not use IM's in-world at all, and would like to let potential customers know how to contact me when they need help even when I am offline. The suggestions that Sasy mentioned seem to be the easiest way for them to find the right way to contact me.

This would be a very nice implementation. For creators, we struggle with customers not contacting us the desired way laid out in our profiles. So, this fix would put the information exactly where the person is looking at the time and would give them (hopefully) more incentive to do as requested.
