SL needs better ways to document, label, sort, and search inventory items. In particular, each inventory item should have a "comments" field, as well as a Created date field and a Last Modified field. One should be able to search, filter, and sort items by these fields.

SL lets us search by Older Than or Newer Than, but not by a date range.

More generally, make it work like a spreadsheet or a relational database.
