Make water excluding surfaces support 2-sided option
tracked

Now that we have a way to partially hide water, it would be nice to be able to click through water excluding surfaces. This is where 2-sided materials come into play, as only one side registers clicks.
On the image below some of the clickable controls of the vehicle are now unreachable, being hidden behind the water excluding surface, which forces me to choose between keeping the interactivity in, or keeping the water out. Please address.

Also, it's still blue underwater. Even with the exclusion, it should exclude everything, not just the surface.

"Water Exclusion Volumes" would be a 3D version of the current 2D "Hide Water" (aka "Invisiprims") feature which was reintroduced to SL in early 2025

I would hide ALL THE WATER, is absolutely terrible in SL. We are talking NES system type of water with some taped over textures. But yes, It's also terrible that we have no way to hide the surface of it where needed, AND ALSO, the very rudimentary effect when under it. The whole thing needs a revamp honestly, but atleast throw us some half a** solutions.

This is definitely something worth working on - the boating/sailing/amphibious vehicle community would love to see this change implemented!
edit: as seen below, there's a built-in workaround already!
Horny Nuzzle
Shark Cuddles Not necessary, see my comment below. :)

Horny Nuzzle Excellent! I just tested it out and it does work!

BeckHan Ra This is already avoidable with the following setting.
Tested; yes also works on Firestorm.
Can be applied per-object in a linkset.
