I have a clothing business, a decorations and a texture business. It is awful to have to place everything under 1 merchant account. Makes for harder searching and so I had to use alts to create new businesses. That means a LOT more time to set up and run each. I decided to personally STOP using MP until I can one day (hopefully) use my 1 msin avater to do so. SL is losing the revenue from many designers due to this. I am NOT the only designer who is refusing to use MP

This is definitely the second feature that i miss the most in the Marketplace right now (the first one being the ability to disable reviews on demo items). Not only we cannot run several brands with one account, but we cannot even organize our items in custom categories, and we have zero way of customizing anything about how the items are displayed. Right now, a marketplace store is really nothing than a simple list of items.
