More Attachment Slots For Premium Plus

I am very limited in only 38 attachments for me I need at least 50 yes I link but theres lots of things that are not linkable. I think a perk that would get even more people to buy premium plus would be to increase the attachments from 38 to 100 or the very least 50. I need the freedom to express myself 38 is limiting my freedom.

Absolutely we need this. I never walk around with 38 attachments. When I need more is when getting dressed. I bump up against the limit fairly often. I enjoy dressing my avatar in nice outfits. I know that not everyone cares about this, but I do. Many of my outfits have a large number of texture change HUDs for clothing items and jewelry, and some hairstyles have two HUDs. I detach these after adjusting the outfit. I seriously doubt that my use of these HUDs adversely affects anyone's experience. I almost never experience lag while I'm getting dressed, so I doubt my HUDs cause others to experience it.

What are you trying to do exactly? Break the complexity limit?

The problem I have with this and larger texture uploads is that this weighs on resources. It seems a "because you can" if adding so many things to one attachment point is that necessary. I would say if you need lag and/or crash people to express yourself then less people see you in all your glory anyway. Let your creativity bring forth your expression in grand fashion within the rather generous allowance available.

I'm not against many attachments, but I'd like to mention this one thing because of the "need at least 50" statement:
Attachments have an impact on rendering, not only for you but for everyone that sees your avatar. Unless you are careful, they are also full of scripts, which affects region performance wherever you go.
Freedom of self expression is very important, and if you're at home, taking photos, enjoying yourself looking at the avatar you created, showing off to friends, etc, I'm all up for it.
However you must consider that, even if you personally would be still mindful of what you wear at busy places, many others won't. They manage to wear multiple render heavy items and over 300 scripts already, with even more attachment slots it could be almost doubled.
I don't need to explain that it also limits one's freedom when someone else lags out the region.

[Some people already carry more LI than the entire sim they are on. So their freedom to express themselves mean the death of someone else's Second Life experience.]

I fear my answer to you will seem unpleasant. Please understand that it in no way is meant as such. This having been said, though, the answer to this issue is to cease (or highly limit) your purchase of no-mod items, as it is this which prevents these items from being linked. As someone who relies heavily upon such for my avatars, I understand your frustration. The answer will not, however, be "Let's create more have vs have nots!", but instead to push for basic change to how things are done, and through these changes make it so everyone can improve things for themselves by such. By boycotting no-mod, you send a clear message to creators to also respect YOUR creativity, and in so doing also make the need to more attachment points unnecessary.

Thanks for taking the time to suggest increasing the attachment limit—especially with modern heads/bodies and accessories consuming multiple attach points, it’s easy to hit the current 38 and feel constrained.
We did find this request raised previously in Second Life’s previous bug tracking system, and we’re going to track your report under
BUG-232322
. Your notes about Premium Plus being a natural place for a higher cap (50+ / even 100) and the fact that some items can’t be linked are helpful context and will be included with the tracked item.We don’t have an ETA to share, but please keep an eye on updates tied to
BUG-232322
going forward. Thanks again for helping us improve Second Life.Alana Starchild
SL Feedback Will we get to see this implemented in our lifetime? We have been asking for this now for years.
