Add setting in About Land, Options which can make Run Scripts - Everyone - OFF effective in island region at ANY height. Group run script could still be enabled for anywhere.
With the advent of Experience controls and more LSL functions improved puzzles, contests, games are possible, but players often cheat by using attached scripts to search for items or enhance their motion capabilities. The existing setting 'Run Scripts - Everyone - OFF ' is only effective below 75m altitude. Above that anyone can run scripts at any time. This was done to enable Aircraft to fly across the mainland. But on island regions used for contests it enable cheating. It also permits entry of massively over-scripted visiting avatars to cause severe lag to such games and contests.

This is becoming a greater issue as time goes on. Some of the avatars that show up to spectate our races are absolutely bursting with scripts. High counts, high memory potential, and high script time. I seriously fail to understand how these users come into possession of so many of them. Messaging them to remove parts of their avatar is rarely appreciated and borderline offensive to them regardless of how it is presented. No one liked being called fat.

I can see why that decision was made. Overall this likely lends itself to a better user experience in most cases.
Giving us the ability to parcel off a section for spectators where we can shut off their scripts (at all heights) is a fantastic solution. Even better if you can let us subdivide airspace. That would let us keep these "parcels" all the time instead of heading to ground and subdividing each time we have an event.
If Lucia's link was still active, that might be a partial solution.. but we would have to use rezzer cars for all events. Some of our races allow drivers to rez their own. I'll also clarify, our drivers know how to get to 0 scripts. It's the spectators who require step by step instructions. Sometimes claiming their complexity is low, so it's not a problem...🤦♀
