Option to Disable Auto-Opening of Object Contents + Close All Windows Functionality

In Second Life, when opening an object, any included images, notecards, and other assets are automatically opened in separate windows. This often leads to a cluttered interface, with windows stacking on top of each other—especially when the object contains dozens or even hundreds of items.
Currently, there is no way to close all of these windows at once. Users are forced to manually close each individual window, which can be tedious and time-consuming.
To improve usability, it would be helpful to implement:
A user preference to toggle whether object contents should automatically open upon access.
A “Close All” button or command to quickly dismiss all open notecard, image, and content windows.
These additions would give users more control over their interface and greatly enhance the overall user experience.

In firestorm I was able to make a setting so that only 1 item opens when doing this. I know LL is trying to implement that viewer as their sl viewer, It at least helps to have that option to prevent it. Use FS when possible. hehe.

Hello, and thank you for your feature request regarding the option to disable auto-opening of object contents and the addition of a 'Close All' functionality. This is a great suggestion that could significantly improve the user experience by reducing interface clutter and saving time. Interestingly, another resident has brought up a similar idea in the past, and we are merging your comments to expedite the review process. We have set this feature request to tracked, and while we cannot provide an estimate on when it might be implemented, please keep an eye on future updates. We appreciate your input and hope you continue to share your ideas to help improve Second Life. Thank you!
