Skeleton Reset (to be seen by all) via lsl

Currently when someone is wearing an avatar with a deformed skeleton and they change to another avatar their skeleton will be borked. Reset skeleton currently only fixes the visuals for the person themself and others also will need to reset skeleton to fix their view of the person.
Relogging seems to be the only current way to reset the skeleton fully.
If a full reset skeleton were possible via lsl it would make it super easy (via HUDs or scripting inside the avatars) for people to reset their own skeleton fully so that they are viewed correctly by all.

Yes this please! Would really help those of us who are not humanoid much of the time. I mean how can you be a shapeshifter when your tail now pokes through your face! A relog is fine when you have the time but we've presented shows where avatars need to change between sets and they had to try and relog swiftly with a packed audience waiting. Uncomfortable.
Cinny Fluffington
I relogged several times to try to fix the deformed avatar but it didn’t work for me. The only way I could make it undeform is log in the computer, change to a human and then log in the mobile app
SL Feedback
Merged in a post from Cinny Fluffington:
Title: Add a “reset skeleton and/or animations” button or option.
Details: Like the title says. Deformed skeleton prevails when I change from a non human avatar (ie. teegle avatar, jinx centaur avatar, prehistorica dragon/dinosaur, dinkie, etc) to a two legged humanoid.

Networked reset skeleton was implemented in Maint-C IIRC. Although not visible to LSL, people can right click their own avatar and click "Reset Skeleton" and have it reset it for everyone in view.

Issue tracked. We have no estimate when it may be implemented. Please see future updates here.

This should be possible by playing a carefully crafted animation, but making that animation might be a bit tedious.

Quistess Alpha - this will only work where priorities allow. Where higher priority animations are used for specific reasons you would have to use a reset animation of an equal or even higher priority to override and then that animation will stick meaning the desired effect of a true reset is not achieved - but just another animation overlayed that is not deformed so greatly but is not "reset" to allow other lower priority animations to pick up and continue.

Perhaps the better answer would be thus:
When a user triggers a reset skeleton (whether triggered by the user or a third party), not only will it reset client-side, but will send a signal to the server, which will in turn push out to any clients within the reason a request for them to ALSO trigger a reset of said user's skeleton. Naturally, this should be highly throttled to no more than one request per three to five seconds per avatar/user, thus preventing abuse and high server load.

This would be one of those little things that make SL more usable and less mystifying, and aid in user retention.

I'd suggest some kind of a throttle where the function returns an OK value or some kind of fail code to indicate a reason (such as requests throttled). This would prevent broken scripts from smashing the network with updates or potentially causing issues with viewers. Otherwise, yes please. Been wanting this one for a long while.
