Voice Changers added (Previous four corners meeting topic)

After talking to friends that attended Phillip Rosedale's recent Q&A about new SL Voice servers, adding TTS/STT and voice changing modification into SL. We've noticed that nothing was brought up/ asked about how residents will be able to tell if individuals we are talking to use a voice changer or not. A high count of individuals I've spoken too would very much like to be informed if someone is using a voice changer. The idea we talked about is adding a icon or changing the color of the voice lines in world. When looking at someone on on voice now, the line appear green. Possibly changing that color to blue to indicate that the other user is using a modified voice. I believe this would settle the anxiety of residents that worry about this addition to SL.

Delia Tafler they were removed fairly recently. Even if they show up on the menus and such, the functionality is now essentially dead. What LL appears to be suggesting is a

Sometimes a real voice is recognisable due to appearances on real life media, so a slight modification to stop the trolls helps rather a lot. Note: only used to help people struggling with setting up stuff in detail BTW.

As someone who works with AI on the daily, trust me you'll know.
Even the best voice changing software (RVC's) still require the person to do voice acting and tone shifting to masquerade their original voice.
If they pass as what they're going for they're likely putting in the work to make it work and so just be happy with the free theatrical play.

This is the worst feedback I've ever seen on this place. What's next? Having to use an avatar that looks 100% like our RL?
SL is not a dating app, even though I am aware some people found love here (Myself included) this is a place to express ourselves, to be how we truly wish to be, without RL limitations. Voice changers are a helper to trans people among other things. If someone wants to catfish someone they will not need SL integrated Voice Changers, are external ones.
If some residents have anxiety because of knowing the real gender of an avatar, well, SL is not for them!

Probably the worst idea I have seen so far added to the feedback. If someone is using a voice changer or not isn't something of anyone's concern. SL always has been about creativity and individuality, be whoever you want to be. If you need to know wether the person is using their real voice or not then I feel like this game is not for you. What else should we add icons to too? Country? Ethnicity? Gender? Religion? As someone who have a whole bunch of friends that easily could represent every single aspect of the lgtbi community, and which our main goal is to respect everyone's individuality, this would critically go against all those values. Imagine telling to that trans person that they may be able to speak now without fear of being judged but that they will have to show an icon to make sure that everyone knows that that's not their real voice. Have you ever though of all those implications? If you are afraid that you may be catfished that's just a personal issue of you. It's a well known rule of the Internet, and the world as a whole, to be cautious with who you trust and to which degree. You know, just use common sense, that's all you need, not an icon telling you who could be possibly behind the avatar. Adding convincing voice changers to SL just adds more to the whole main purpose of SL of being whoever you want. Why would anyone want to ruin this? It makes no sense.

Ontop of that they could use an outside voice changer which will probably work better. so it's adding nothing and changing nothing.

DlRUS Canis all of this. ANYTHING LL adds will never be as good as using something that already exist. And using something external does not have to respect and system of "informing" other people of it being in use. This would just be another time sink of money for LL for a feature a few people use, then most will go to use something external.
As the saying goes, why should we be reinventing the wheel?
