Replace bridges on the new Zindra Land

Tl/Dr: Please replace the bridges on the new Zindra land with proper draw or swing bridges and set them to close by default.
I love the new land on Zindra and the new road and waterways are excellent. However, the bridges use a sci-fi design which seems very design specific that may end up out of place. And they are open by default which means taking a drink will be a common occurrence. See https://gyazo.com/d8da401239649eead9865fa38307738e
Please replace them with more generic draw and swing bridges and like the bridge that connects the road between Novarez and Barnaby Point, activation paddles can be used to trigger them open for a defined time period for boats.
If not replaced, please set the default to closed. The bridges are pretty high and most boats should pass beneath them without opening. Also, the delay to open once the bridge is tapped is rather long.

Hello Cuddles! Thank you for the feedback! The light bridges were selected to match the roadway style, and to allow taller watercraft to pass through. We can review the deploy time and adjust if possible.

Out of place??? This is Zindra, a futuristic sci-fi continent, it was designed as such in 2009. Using these light bridges, if it wasn't only a temporary solution, is a GREAT idea!
The only thing that could help if the light bridge part was as wide as the rest, but honestly, this only affects oversized vehicles, so it isn't a huge concern. Need to be careful with huge trucks anyway.
Why is it a problem that it is open by default? There are stop signs at every end. At least for the first time in SL those are meaningful stop signs. Don't ignore them.
By the way the old bridge you mentioned is AWFUL. I end up in the water every time I cross that bridge on foot because it is apparently impossible to buffer it properly on the region crossing. It is not a good example of a bridge.

Just like all the roads on zindra. Looks ridiculous, not to mention that very often there are sim crossings along the roads (between the lanes). Losing your vehicle and crashing guaranteed :D
If Heterocera was adult I would never get land on zindra...

While, being an N+K sailor, I applaud more water access, drawbridges should be closed by default. Every drawbridge in SL and RL handles far more land than water traffic.

Stylistically, I could accept that LL decided to make a new kind of bridge, but absolutely agree with the feedback about default-close state. I'm usually the one harping about how we need better boating access in Zindra, but not like this! Definitely should follow the model of other bridges that retract when a boat comes through. There's things like yavapods (love or hate them), and plenty of other somewhat-autonomous vehicle uses (not to mention lag spikes and rough region crossings) that really require the road to default to "being there" and the convention all along has been that roads exist; current vehicle systems don't know to drive up to the pad, hit the brakes, and wait for the lights to appear.
If LL wants to convey some kind of "green energy conserving bridge" that powers off when not in use, then these bridges need to turn on fast and from a much farther range--vehicles don't know to slow down and wait.
It's a good time to adjust, too! Before these areas are inhabited and harder to change!

Journey Bunny Yavapods and SLGI ships will fly over the bridges effortlessly whether they are closed or not :)
