When near the limit of groups, adding a new group resets all group settings

This happens on multiple computers with every viewer. Clean uninstall and reinstall performed numerous times to no change. This is a server side issue.

I'm not able to reproduce this when I use Second Life Release 7.2.3.19375695301 and do the following:
- Configure custom personal settings for an existing group. Disable 'Receive group notices' and 'Show in my profile'.
- Open search with Ctrl+F and search groups for some generic keyword, like 'club'
- Click 'More Info' on each search result, and click 'Join Group' for open & free groups
- Repeat (3) until People -> Groups indicates "You can join 0 more'
- Attempt to join another group, which should fail
- Note if the settings from (1) were reset to the default/enabled setting
When I follow these steps, I see the expected 'You have reached your maximum number of groups.' dialog in step (6). The group is not joined (as expected), and I see that the custom group settings from (1) are intact. No group chats are opened.

Thorn Kealoha, I have a few questions:
- This seems like it might be a viewer bug. Which viewer are you using? Does the bug reproduce with the Second Life Release 7.2.3.19375695301 viewer?
- When you say 'ALL groups suddenly activate chats', do you mean that the 'Converstions' floater suddenly gets many open tabs of group chats, as though you had manually opened
- Which group settings are being reset? Of the groups you can manage, are group descriptions reset to blank, and all roles removed? Or are you just talking about the 2 settings available to anybody, like 'Receive group notices' and 'Show in my profile'?

This happens to me. ANY interaction with a group, to add, delete or change a group setting, ALL groups suddenly activate chats. I have to manually open and reset 146 groups to remove chats and save. If I don't I'm overrun with chats. I've had to do it multiple times. This is not a Premium Plus perk. It's more like a _punishment_ for paying for premium plus to have many groups. Please fix it!!

This is NOT a feature request. This is a server side bug with an existing feature that is promoted by LLs for Premium and Premium Plus members as a benefit of their payment.
