Allow a NOT search

Add a tick box to categories we want to exclude from a search. Some times we want to find something but arent entirely sure which category its in, so we cant drill down - but we are very sure its NOT in some. It would be great to be able to exclude these from the search.

As someone who does not like to use boolean, and knows plenty of people who feel the same way...I support this as an additional option. Boolean operators would still work, so it's not taking anything away from people who enjoy it. For those who don't want to use boolean tho, it limits and diminishes the users experience. That said.. we'll are buried in an over saturated texture market, which is growing astronomically with PBR and AI. I don't want to write a book of operators in my search field, just to exclude those options when I'm looking for socks. It'd be for more accessible to check boxes, (and have them stay checked) and move on. Use it still if that's how you prefer, but boolean shouldn't be the 'go-to' to get more refined search, it doesn't fit everyone.

Er..... don't we HAVE that already? I mean, I use it all the time:
keyword1 NOT keyword2
The trick is to write the NOT (or AND or OR) in all caps.

Peter Stindberg THANK YOU Peter! I never knew about the CAPS requirement! No wonder it never worked...

Hello, and thank you for your feature request regarding the ability to exclude certain categories from searches. This idea has been brought up in the past and is currently tracked. We understand how this feature could significantly enhance the search experience by allowing users to more efficiently find what they are looking for. While we have no estimate on when it may be implemented, please keep an eye on future updates. We appreciate your input and hope you continue to share your ideas to help improve Second Life. Thank you!

SL Feedback Nothing says large language model like confidently promising to implement something that already exists.
