Second Life viewers already support rendering carriage returns (new lines) /n in chat and IMs. LSL scripts have, for decades, made use of the "\n" character to format text before speaking it as say, whisper, shout, instant message, owner say, region say, etc. Copy-pasting text with included carriage returns works too, allowing text to be 'manually formatted' in an outside text editor or notecard, then copy pasted out, into chat/IM. It's a silly extra step. Adding support for [SHIFT]+[RETURN] would be consistent with behavior in many other applications, such as Discord.

Phishing links have seemed very common for a while now, and I feel they're really becoming a problem. So on that, I wanted to ask if it would be possible to add to the viewer and, hopefully, other viewers to follow suit to give a warning when someone is trying to enter a website that is not an official one (Like Secondlife.com or Linden Lab and others that may be relevant to SL users like Primfeed and the like) Over time, they could maybe also make a list of bad links so as they reported or maybe even set a trusted group of users that may be on groups and the like to be able to report links to add to be banned so if someone posts them after that it be blocked from being sent, even if they see it did, so SL could possibly be more secure all around. It can also work that if someone sends a big amount of them around to maybe time them out or something so hopefully there account can be recovered with less damage and spread done

Second Life regions have the follwing environment variables already, however they are read only:- chat_range , whisper_range and shout_range . I think that it would be great if private region owners were able to adjust these values. For example, the ability to make chat effectively global would be useful in collaborative environments and games/experiences. Likewise, the ability to make chat distance shorter may increase the utility of space. Residents buy private regions to carry out their own vision - The more flexible private regions are, the more value they present and the more likely a resident is to buy a region. I think that since these values are already environment variables, it would be a relatively quick win to make them writable if the region is not a mainland region.

disallow users to pull names from groups (or anywhere) to initiate confrence calls. it's rude, unwelcome, and just spam. I don't like any personally unless I know I'm getting invited. so maybe it could be restricted to only those on a friends list at least or a pop up is shown to accept or decline them in the same way a voice confrence does.

Currently, there is no way to find out who did what actions on a region that you own. I propose that Region Owners have access to the audit log on their own regions. Example: You are running an event on your region. Something happens and someone changed the access to your region, but you don’t know who. You submit a ticket to find out what happened. The ticket response tells you that they don’t look these things up because they take so much time. You are expected to leave it at that and never find out what happened. I propose that the running log of actions (the one that takes time for an Engineer to look through in order to tell the resident what happened) be available to the region owner so the owner / estate managers can see what happened on their region at a specific time. This is information that is already currently being logged right now - my proposal is to make it available to the people that own the region as well. In addition to providing more trust with the lab from residents, it also saves time on support requests - this is something the user can us to answer questions about actions on their region themselves if given access.

For years I feel as though my.secondlife has been used less and less whilst users have been moving to other platforms such as flickr and facebook/X for brands/bloggers to do their marketing and share photos, WIPs etc and for people such as club owners to promote events and just for socializing in general. Time and time again we see people having issues with these other platforms and rising costs etc. I think it'd be great if the my.secondlife could be given an overhaul/face lift and have the abilities to be able to share photos not taken in Second Life and also create groups to categorize your posts and photos as well as other photos which could combine all of these platforms in to one place exclusively for Second Life users. This would eliminate people going to other platforms (and having issues) and it'd also mean the reach would be much bigger and people wouldn't be having to create accounts elsewhere. I know this is probably quite a big task/overhaul that I am suggesting but I think lots of residents would enjoy and benefit from this!

The ability to have group notices and marketplace sales post to discord directly in a channel of our choosing.

It would be great to see who messaged me last, as both my Firestorm and SL Official Viewers keep crashing today. I logged in to find a long list of offline messages, but now that the viewer has crashed, I have no idea who reached out. Thankfully, I receive offline messages via email, but only two have come through so far. What about the others? I had at least five or more messages. Please address this SLPlugin issue; I’m not sure why it’s happening. My event logs are filled with these errors, and this has been an ongoing problem for years on both SL Official and Firestorm viewers. Today, I logged in, and after just 10 seconds, it crashed. When I managed to get it back up and tried to remove a group, it crashed again. I’ve tried both the PBR and non-PBR versions of the Firestorm viewer, as well as the official SL viewer, but the problem persists. Does anyone know what port needs to be open for SLPlugin? maybe it has to do with my firewall, but I've had so many different antiviruses and firewalls in the last few years.
